The Fashion industry is a 24/7 phenomenon. It’s a bridge between present and future. Especially, these days, it’s evolving with a lightning speed and impelling people to believe that, without fashion, they’re nothing. And, in a way, it’s on the nail. We’re starting to suppose that it’s the essence of our life and it’s rather impossible to even move an inch if we aren’t following it. In fact, some of us see those people with praising eyes who work in the fashion industry, like models, and etc. We feel that they’re in luck; they’ve the world in their hands. However, the reality is utterly different. The interior of the fashion industry isn’t as simple as the exterior… If you’re already working in a fashion industry, you probably by now know that it has two different faces. And, the inner face, which is hidden from a common man, is utterly cruel and multifarious. There is a constant war inside; a war which is more malicious than the politics. It’s a war among designers, models, entrepreneurs, outlets, brands, industries, media, and etc. It’s a war which decides the future; it either facilitates to earn plethora of money, or sign the death warrants of success. However, the interesting thing is this war generally revolves around the PR issue; everyone tries to strengthen the public relations. First, let’s converse about the ‘Models’, since they play a significant role in the fashion industry and every inch of them is like a clap of thunder, that’s why, they’re under the premier light of the prominent magazines all the time. The ModelsModels are influential! They exhibit future with excellent authority, and live like the elites in our society. But, that’s just the outer image. In reality, the things aren’t as easy for them as we think. In the fashion industry, the models are the ones who consistently struggle with the glaring PR issues, as strong PR is the only thing that can give them a tremendous competitive advantage and bag world-class fame for them. And, that’s not all. There is even a race issue among them. Though, it’s a tad undemanding for a white person to progress in this industry, but the blacks are still facing the old perspectives. And, most of them specifically need strapping public relations in order to prosper. The premier giants like CNN and The Huffington Post have already shed light on this issue of the modeling industry and have published articles and reviews regarding them. Apart from this, if you’re a beginner, it’s almost impossible for you to become the Donald Trump in modeling if you don’t have PR. And, you can’t utterly rely on your positive reputation either, as it builds slowly and takes a lot of time. Though, one percent of the models can get lucky, but they still need to fortify their PR if they wish to stay in luck. On the other hand, if you’re the offspring of some celebrity, or a successful entrepreneur, the PR won’t be a major issue for you; you can accelerate like cheetah in this industry. The Designers The designers are also the wounded bulls; they also struggle with the public relations on a grand level. Since, in order to grow, they need to distribute and highlight their work in public. And, of course, 99 percent of them can’t do this on their own; they need a huge investment, affiliates, contacts, and etc. Without these things, they can’t tackle their opponents; it would be even impossible for them to survive in the industry. There are numerous outstanding designers who have a latent power in their hands, but, regrettably, because of public relation issues, it’s not viable for them to win the championships. We often find them even working on a low scale, or under some brand, where they use their talents but for the sake of others’ business. Therefore, if you’re a designer, or in case you’re pondering being one of them, always remember, it doesn’t matter how much talent you’ve, even if you’re 100 percent talented, it’s just the 50 percent in the fashion industry; the rest of the 50 percent depends on your PR. The more relations you’ll have, the more you can win the championships and outperform your competitors. No one wants to lag behind the competition. Perhaps, that’s why, there is a brutal war between the designers these days. Almost all of them are attempting to build strong contacts with entrepreneurs, investors, models, brands, and other designers as well. In a way, they perceive that it’s not only about being talented; if they want to slay the dragons, they’ve to build a strong PR; they’ve to build a successful team. The BrandsEven if you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know that fashion brands are the fiercest rivals of each other. In fact, the luxury brands always play the war like chess. They constantly attempt to mold their perception before it sets against them, and they’re rather excellent in it. But, all in all, their success also depends on the PR. Now, of course, like other technical brands, their war isn’t loud; it’s, indeed, unspoken, but it’s a lot more powerful than our imagination. The famous brands, actually, attempt to build an association with their consumers 24/7. They try to dominate a significant element of the society and attempt their best to keep them under their authority, no matter what. But, their success, or in other words, PR, depends heavily on the advertising and marketing, as consumers are their prime targets. After that, these brands also make a serious effort to keep the famous models, designer, magazines, journalists, and photographers under their command, because they all are the blank check of success for them. In case you’re pondering launching your own new brand, and want to earn plethora of money, focus more on strengthening your public relationship. It’s the most important issue, and it’s the only issue which has the latent power to swing all the votes in your favor. Concluding ThoughtsPeople, who work in the fashion industry, and who read between the lines as well, focus on their public relations more than their next breath. Since, they comprehend that if you’re working in the hot-blooded fashion industry, it isn’t all about being fancy; it’s about tackling the glaring PR issues too. When you connect with people, you not only close the booming deals, but also receive the recognition you desire, in fact, sooner than your expectation.
